The COVID-19 pandemic hit the world hard, causing nations to lock down and disrupting our normal way of life. Education, in particular, faced major challenges during this time. Students, especially those in disadvantaged areas, struggled to keep up with their learning due to limited access.
Efforts were made by governments and ministries to provide online education, but a significant problem surfaced – many communities lacked proper internet access. This created a big hurdle for students who needed to learn online. It was a critical moment that called for creative solutions and bold actions. It is during this time that SOMA FOUNDATION RWANDA was founded; to be a beacon of light for the vulnerable youth and children who could barely access education
