The SomaBox Project addresses the gap in access to digital learning materials. It is a portable device that stores educational content and serves it to student devices over its own wireless network, so a school does not need an internet connection for students to use it.

Student and teacher devices connect directly to SomaBox over its own wireless network and open the library in a browser. No internet connection is involved, so access is the same every day.

From the beginning, our mission was to work towards closing the education gap between rural and urban areas. We are driven by the belief that access to knowledge should not depend on geography.
Over the years, we've reached classrooms with no internet, supported teachers with limited resources, and helped thousands of students discover new possibilities through offline technology.
